Due to the volume of business, market impact and engagement with various services offered by our client, Chinese customers are considered as early adopters and major influencers of products and roadmap. With that said, the market is intensely competitive and is driving need to innovate brande new products and services to address current and future requirements.

As a Business Innovation Manager, you will evangelise offering within the organisation, understand market trends, and develop strategic initiatives to drive incremental market share.

You will explore innovative products and services that are not currently being offered by existing platforms but are or will be required by customers and prospects. These can come in the forms of products and services that focus on improving customers’ UX, revenue production, and retention.

To do this, the Business Innovation Manager needs to consistenly develop and sucssefully launch a product or servce. In turns, you will require effective, frequent and open communication with internal stakeholders.

As part of the role, you are expected to be measured against goals related to revenue growth, churn and leadership of the China business. Others goals such as design & delivery of successful innovations that bring benefits to Chinese customers and furthemore increase of adoption rate of new released features with feedback.

To be successful in this position, the Business Innovation Manager needs to have strong knowledge of online payment, preferably with experience in cross-border patments and ecommerce.

Coming into this role, you are expected to have the following competencies:

  • User orientation – having string user insights into what requirements and pain points are to translate hard user data to indetify underlying user behavior in order to put together compelling business cases

  • Strategic & analytical skills – having big picture mindset as well as logical and strong problem solving mindset combined with the ability to understand and leverage user and system data

  • Result orientation – working with success metrics that aren’t easily defined, you must be able to define approproate KPIs to be measured against, on the top of a pre-requisite set of drive and committment to deliver world-class innovative offerings.

  • Collaboration & influencing – having the ability to spot areas that need change and champuon the case across the organisation. At the same time the ability to work proactively across different business teams to influence decision making in a sophisticated manner.

Our Desired Profile

  • 10+ years of BD experience with 5+ years within the payment industry, preferably with product management experience

  • Proven experience in managing on-going SaaS development projects in the entire product/software lifecycle, within agility development environment

  • Education background from top tier global institution – a combination of engineering & MBA degrees from leading institution is a big plus

  • Strong understanding of eCommerce, social media, retail inventory management, SEM and web analytics

  • Experience managing an e-commerce ops or interactive marketing, this is a plus

  • Energetic self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit with experience in starting and leading new initiatives

  • Excellent communication skill with fluent command of both English & Chinese

  • Willing to travel 50% most of the time
