Develop and direct activities for system interfaces, detailed part models and master models in Catia v6. Design, validate and deliver mechanical mounting for a particular system. Perform change management to assess impact of changes in a particular system. Create 3D part documentation for production method and inspection method. Work with the product team for releasing a particular system. Manage prototype vendors for parts fabrication. Work with validation team to create and execute a test plan for production parts & systems.
Strong knowledge of materials properties and applications, fabrication methods. Knowledge of thermal issues, cooling flow and methods. Knowledge of plastic injection molding and metal stamping design. Experience includes multiple projects taking parts from initial design through production. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of electro-mechanical product design, inventing solutions and defining efficient solutions to meet the product requirements. Be able to analyze and validate the design by defining and performing validation requirements (stress, strain, thermal, tolerance, coast, mass optimization, environmental, etc).
